Belonging to Our Lord Jesus

To belong to Jesus means to accept Him as Lord and Saviour, to have faith in His teachings, and to follow His example in our daily lives. It means to live according to His teachings and to become a part of His family, the Church.

When we belong to Jesus, we are called to follow Him and to imitate His life of love and service to others. This includes living a life of prayer, participating in the holy sacraments, and seeking to grow in holiness. Through our baptism, we are adopted as children of God and become members of His family, the Church.

Belonging to Jesus also means being a part of His mission to bring about the Kingdom of God on earth. We are called to share the good news of the Gospel with others and to work for justice and peace in the world. As members of His body, the Catholic Church, we are called to use our gifts and talents to build up the community of faith and to serve the needs of others.

Ultimately, belonging to Jesus means living a life of faith and hope, with the assurance that we are loved by God and called to share in His eternal life. It means placing our trust in Him and surrendering our lives to His will, knowing that He will guide us and lead us to a life of fulfilment and joy.

To summarise, to belong to Jesus means to have faith in His teachings, follow His example, and become a part of the Church. It involves living a life of prayer, participating in the Sacraments, and seeking to grow in holiness. Belonging to Jesus also means being a part of His mission to bring about the Kingdom of God on earth, sharing the Gospel with others, and working for justice and peace. Ultimately, it means living a life of faith and hope, surrendering our lives to God’s will, and trusting in guidance from the Holy Spirit towards a life of obedience to God’s Will and of fulfilment and joy.
