The goal of these letters is very simple — to explain the faith of the Church that Jesus founded and the Apostles spread, in a way that is easy to understand. Each letter covers one topic—such as the Bible, prayer, the sacraments, the saints, worship, and daily Christian life. Every letter includes passages from the Holy Scriptures, so that the reader can see how the teachings of the Church are rooted in the Word of God.

The Orthodox Church is not a new movement or one denomination among many. It is the original Church, handed down from the Apostles, preserved through the centuries by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
