Psalm 1 is a beautiful and wise psalm that offers guidance for the faithful on how to live a blessed life. The psalmist encourages us to avoid the counsel of the wicked and to instead delight in the Law of the Lord. By meditating on God’s teachings day and night, we can be like a tree planted by streams of water that bears fruit and does not wither.

As Catholics, we believe that following the teachings of the Lord is the key to a fulfilling life. By obeying God’s commandments and living a life of righteousness, we can experience true joy and peace. The psalmist warns us that the way of the wicked leads to destruction, but the way of the righteous is watched over by the Lord.
