“The Lord is good to all, compassionate toward all your works.” (Psalm 145:9)
The love of God toward His creation is unfathomable. We can never claim to understand how far our Lord’s mercy extends to His children. In Wisdom 11:24 we read, “For you love all things that are and loathe nothing that you have made; for you would not fashion what you hate.”
When we undergo various trials in our lives, as children of God, we turn to Him in fervent prayer. We freely ask for His guidance, knowing that He will provide for our needs and see us through our suffering just as He has promised. Daily we thank God for His providence and give Him praise in both song and prayer for all that He does for us. We contemplate the works and mercy of our Lord as we gaze upon the Holy Cross.
God provides for us in ways that no human can. His works are beyond our comprehension. In Psalm 103:13, we read, “As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.” When we stand before our Lord, meditating on His great compassion, we should have such reverence for all of His loving kindness that we tremble. Our knees should bow at the very name of our Lord in both reverence and gratitude.
May we stand with hearts full of gratitude while we proclaim together, “The hand of the Lord feeds us; he answers all our needs.”
God bless you +
